Photographed & Colored by: Omar Salah
Creative Direction: Jules Kuhr
Wonderful! is jfarr’s first of two EP projects for 2023, in which he explores the range of his genre bending production and songwriting. Featuring R&B inspired melodies with electronic production, jfarr bridges the gap between multitudes of genres into one hybrid sound which is best described simply as “jfarr”.
RELEASE DATE: 05/19/2023
Wonderful! is a true time capsule for this 23 year old artist, loaded with the feelings and aesthetics of experiencing a summer in Los Angeles as a young and upcoming musician. Blending the arrangement structure of EDM, the flows of R&B and the production style of jfarr, Wonderful! takes the listener on a musical journey, from a Punk-inspired, cannabis-infused intro track, all the way to track 6, which will capture you in a wave of fluttering violins and heart-wrenching emotion.
From jfarr:
I feel like, truthfully, I have a lot to say about this project, but I think it's best understood if we say it in a less formal way…
Wonderful! is a glimpse at this last summer and fall. I went through some of the toughest experiences I have ever been through - you know, just the stuff that comes with living on this earth. But somehow, someway, I still had some of the best moments of my life. It’s so easy to get caught up in the things that don’t matter to us in the grand scheme of things, and it’s so difficult to avoid it. I wrote this EP as I was starting to understand that everything always moves forward. No matter what. It has to, otherwise time would stop.
In a lot of ways I feel super fortunate. I’m so happy with how the vision came together for this project, one way or another, it all worked out. However, I am definitely sad to let this project go, but I’m also so thankful it’s going to be off my chest, finally. I did the best that I could with this, and I already see where to go next. I’m actually already moved onto the next steps. At this point I’m making more music that I want to put out faster than I can release them. Needless to say, I might take a breather for a second. But project #2 is coming and it’s going to be another leg up.
