“That’s My Bad” is a drunken story of a complicated romantic situation, in which all the signs were missed in the midst of liquor and dance. However, written in a state of coming to realization, jfarr speaks to the importance of clear communication.

A forever evolving sound from jfarr, “That’s My Bad” highlights the familiar feeling of huge soundscapes with driving beats of which is consistent throughout his whole discography. Using dreamy guitars, synths, and smooth R&B inspired vocals that catch your attention from the start to the end.

From jfarr:

This song is so important to me, I found myself not wanting to finish it because it marked a new era for jfarr as an artist. But it’s more important to me that it gets put out into the world to showcase who I am. It’s the first single from my next project, and it sets the tone for this year for myself, fans and supporters. This year is all about taking risks and creating art that is true to who I am. “That’s My Bad” is a real example of how art develops when you are so hands on with it. There is no right or wrong way to create music, but for me it is extremely important that I can see my growth and I am never settling into one flow for too long. I am a firm believer in the correlation between personal growth and artistic growth. I could sit behind a computer all day and make music, but I also need to feel and experience my art in an intimate way. I need to feel my art feeding or speaking to the emotions I felt when I created the art. It needs to feel therapeutic.

As far as the art goes, I now understand the full range of my music and style. I take pride in creating a hybrid sound that fuses together bits and pieces of genres but still feels completely jfarr and unlike anything else. I love how fans are starting to recognize the sonic textures and signature sounds from my music. It feels good to be rolling out a project that feels fully in my own lane.
