I wrote this song about relationships, and how they reach a certain point where it’s like “Oh Shit”. This is real. Like this is someone who matters to me, and hopefully vice versa, how do we make this work? How do we make sure this turns out right? How do we go about talking out all the things no one is ready to talk about? How do we manage this? It’s a tipping point in a relationship, a fragile state where most people bend and break and down make it out to the other side.

It’s really interesting because this song to me personally is very powerful and emotional. It’s a real genuine feeling that I have had, and experienced. It’s a moment where you realize fully that the person you’ve been seeing, hanging with, spending time, talking about life, your day, etc, is a real thing and it needs to be addressed. Like are we going to make our best effort into making something sustainable and build on top of what we have? Or are we going to avoid the conversation?

I felt like my relationship with Natalie reached that point, where we had to figure it out. Now there’s a lot of future ahead of all of us, but to get to where we are now we had to make the decision that we were going to put the bullshit aside, the egos, the lust, etc and make it work. And sometimes people just don’t talk about it.
