In My Lane

“In My Lane” is an alternative R&B track by jfarr. Set for release May 6, 2022.

In My Lane is about rekindling an old flame with that special someone, even though it never worked from the start. With bumping drums and bass lines to keep the energy alive in a club, this track is also accompanied by heart tugging upright piano, fresh vocals and finished off in a trumpet finale. In My Lane arrives just in time for that summer feeling that we are all craving.

I wrote this song in September of 2021 in my apartment in Los Angeles. I wanted to really push myself with this track in terms of writing and collaboration. I ended up getting my best friends to help flesh out the instrumentation and adding in that emotion that no computer generated soft synth could ever achieve, while also maintaining that electronic vibe that all my fans are use to. This song for me is a big statement in the next steps of my career, as I enter in a completely new era for jfarr. I’m so excited though to be crossing electronic music and R&B.
